Hello Doctor, My father is 80 year. Old and having Type 2 Diabetes and BP. Because of diabetes complications he had lost his lower limb 4 years back. Since 2 years he was using urine catheter and facing urine infections habitually. Now since yesterday we spotted few drops of blood on his underwear. My doctor is out of town for another 2-3 days. Should I wait for him or see any other urologist? Kindly suggest what to do?

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Please get his urine examined to see if there is blood in it and whether infection has increased. Then with that report consult aphysician as early as possible. Thanks.
