My sugar level jumps high after food. Other wise ok. Today it was 170 after 2 hours of meal. I ate 5 which chapati and spicy. My diet is good.

Hello, Thanks for the query. PP Blood glucose level of 170 mg, signifies that you are in pre-diabetes state. (141 to 199 mg/ 100 ml). This means if proper care is not taken you may develop diabetes in next few months to may be a year or so. First and fore most is to take a restricted healthy diet. Secondly maintain a normal body weight and then exercise regularly for over 1 hour a day. Refrain from alcohol and smoking. That is adapting a modified life style you will be able to either postpone or prevent diabetes. Thanks.
