Hi, I am a 32 year old female suffering from folliculitis since two years. I have been consulting dermatologists and have undergone many tests. On 15th of this month I underwent iron profile test in which transferrin saturation is 3% and ferritin is 4.9%. Iron by photometry is <15. Haemoglobin is 8.5. So please let me know next steps I need to take. Doc is asking me to undergo vit B12, stool test and all that. Which I do not want to because I have spent on these tests since two years. If I have to take iron supplement means pls suggest me the name.

Gently wash the infected skin twice a day with antibacterial soap. Use a clean washcloth and towel each time and don't share your towels or washcloths.
