I'm 64 years male using SILODAL D 8 from last 9 months for benign prostate enlargement. PSA is normal and medicine showing satisfactory results. If it is safe to use this medicine beyond 6 months as my friend with same disease was advised to use silodal plain. With this medicine my bladder is not emptied fully and retention of urine is there and urge fo urination remains. I have to go urination 3/4 times in night hence cannot take sound sleep. Please advise best option as I do not want to go for prostate surgery as long as I can defer.

You are taking a good medicine. Stop drinking fluids after 7 pm. You will not get up in the night. But despite these measures you continue to have urinary symptoms then get operated.
