My 3 year old daughter is suffering from cold and cough and fever is also there 101. My regular doctor alway give medicine +antibiotics tablets. But mostly people says children should not take antibiotics. So my first question is this is it true? And now m giving her calpol syrup 120 mg 4mlfor fever and alkof junior and levolin syrup 1 mg for cold and cough. So is my medication is correct for her. Please reply soon. Thanks in advance.

Children at this age do tend to catch frequent infections and this helps them build immunity. Please try to avoid antibiotics unless it is unavoidable such as if the child needs admission. Symptomatic treatment like with fever medicines and cough syrup should suffice in most occasions.
