Mother. Her age is 62 years. She is high sugar patient. Right now her sugar level is - PP (82) and Fasting (120) which says her sugar level is normal now. Doctor prescribed her 3 medicines - 1) Teneligliptin 20 mg and Metformin hydrochloride 100 mg (as extended release) tablets. 2) Metformin Hydrochloride sustained release and glimepiride tablets 3) atorvastatin tablets IP 10 mg Now, as per my knowledge atorvastatin is a medicine for cholesterol. She is not a patient of cholesterol. What she will do? Should she consume the tablets?

Atorvastatin reduces levels of "bad" cholesterol (low-density lipoprotein, or LDL) and triglycerides in the blood, while increasing levels of "good" cholesterol (high-density lipoprotein, or HDL). As you can see the statin is given to raise the good cholesterol in her body
