Hi doctor, I had a 4 months old son engogred breast since from 4 days its occurring once in a month what us the reason behind it is it a sign of any serious illness. Nd can I take augmentin-625 or augpen tablets for relief is it safe for my baby kindly suggest.

The problem could be related to your 'serotonin' (SSRI) medicines which is getting transferred to your baby through breast milk causing breast engorgement in him. Your own increased some hormone (Prolactin) can cause this problem. However this is not a serious type of problem and it won't cause any bad effect long term. It is completely reversible. Meet your psychiatrist and Gynaecologist and they will help you out with either change in medicines or assurance. Don't stop any of your medicine on your own.
