I had cough issue in the month of october. I consulted a pulmonologist. Formonide 200 inhaler, zedex syrup, a few more tablets which I don't remember. I started having the same kind of cough but not that worse. I keep on getting sputum when I cough. When I take the inhaler it will be good for a day or 2. Chest x-ray and breathing test we're normal. Any suggestions?

Dear Lybrate user, relief by inhaler means your bronchioles (small breathing tubes) are closing down due to some reason. Usually asthma, copd patients experience this phenomenon. You need to undergo a full sputum test (afb, gram's stain and fungus) and a pft for confirmation of diagnosis, meanwhile you can use the inhaler (by spacer) and rinse your mouth with fresh water after use of inhaler. You can upload the reports on Lybrate for a personalized treatment and advice. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
