I recently had a viral upper respiratory tract infection accompanied by fever and really bad cough. I got treated for it but after my fever finished, I have developed a new problem which is very disturbing for me and is depressing me. When i'm swallowing, I get a popping sensation as if my saliva rubs against a bone or cartilage. What is this? And how did it develop all of a sudden?
