I am suffering from alopecia areata from past 2 months. I consulted with doctor he gave me tacmod (liquid form) but I have not seen positive result. It just had one and small patch on my face know there are a lot of bigger patches. Some days back I consult new doctor he gave me medicine check fall (spray solution), hh sone (lotion) and tablet sazo 500. And recommended some tests. Blood sugar, tsh, cbc, and lft. I can't understand why he recommended tests. Is there is any connection with the alopecia areata. Kindly reply.

Blood tests and alopecia areata testing for blood haemoglobin levels, iron, thyroid should at least be considered in all patients with alopecia areata. About half of all people who have alopecia areata will not have permanent damage to the hair follicle, so their hair will grow back naturally and it will be cured.
