Hi I have a friend who is hiv positive. He started taking arv and isoniazid but after a month or two taking this meds suddenly he is now vomiting blood and experiencing fatigue. Its been 2 weeks already there is no progress he is still experiencing those things.

There is possible tb infection or another lung pathology. It's therefore required to first screen for tb in all hiv positive persons and then only take a decision on starting isoniazid prophylaxis.
