My father is 69 at age. Today some tests have been done. (sugar fasting 114, urea 91, creatinine 5.6, sodium 140.5, potassium 6.72). The medicine given are istamet 500, k mac uti, k bind powder, tazloc 40, dytor 5, nefrosave 150). My question is, among the medicines given, is there any medicine has been for lowering creatinine level. Please suggest.

Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query. From the details given it is clear that your father has a serious kidney problem. He needs urgent hospitalisation and dialysis. At such high levels of creatinine and and urea, he needs to be put on only insulin. Oral drug needs to be discontinued. It is better to follow the advice given by the treating physician. Adding any further drug or drugs is dangerous. Thanks.
