I and my wife have just started planning for baby. We did not try for baby before. So we went to a gynaecologist. He advised my wife to take cor 3 tablet and formitol tablet for 3 months and letroz 2.5 mg for 5 days from day 3 of period and susten sr 200 from day 16 of period to day 25. My question is are so many medications necessary for conceiving especially at the initial stage when we have not tried for baby before? And are all these medicines safe and without any serious side effects on my wife and the baby if conception happens?

You can start cor 3 only and wait for few months. If you don't conceive, then you can begin rest of the medicines.

No. You can take only formitol. It is a dietary supplement. And helps preventing birth defects in babies. If you have problems in conceiving only then go for other medications but only after consultation.
