Dear Lybrate-User, Hi PCR test is very reliable for detecting HIV in someone recently exposed to the virus and will be highly accurate within 48 to 72 hours. This test looks directly for HIV in blood. Though you seem to be negative it is better to also get tested for HIV antibodies as it has been 60 days post exposure. 4th generation tests are best in later periods good luck!
