Hi, I had unprotected sex with my husband. Can I take mifepristone as an emergency contraceptive as other options like levonorgestrel are not available at my place?

Dear Lybrate-User, Yes, you can take mifepristone for emergency contraceptive. Dose is 10 -50 mg as single dose. But these dose pills are available in only few countries. So you can take 1st dose of 4 standard pills of mala d or mala n within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse and second dose of 4 pills again after 12 hours good luck.
