I am 25 years old with an active sex life. My partner likes to have sex without condom but when this happens I have to use an ipill as emergency contraception. I?d like to know about birth control pills so that I do not have to keep taking ipill etc. I?m very shy to visit a gynaecologist as they may ask questions i?m not ready to give an answer for. Please suggest what birth control options are available and if they can be purchased without prescription.

You can have non hormonal and hence safe pill saheli and it has added advantage of only one a week tablet to be taken after the first 3 weeks when twice a day is needed .what this means practically is that if your period starts on monday, you take the pill every monday and thursday for the first three months. Starting on the fourth month, you only take it once a week every monday.
