Hi, I am suffering from vaginitis (do not know whether due to fungal or bacterial) from 8 months now, each time medicine course is done. I feel better but same problem starts after I get my periods again. I am taking heavy doses of fluconazole and metronidazole but I feel these medicines are recurrently causing the problem by disturbing flora. Kindly suggest. Current using verena gel and observe reddish covering wiping of from skin in morning. Kindly suggest remedy. I am not diabetic.

Since you have recurrent vaginitis, you need to take probiotics also for the same and your partner requires treatment too

Hello. Recurrent and complicated vulvovaginitis is really difficult to treat. Need more details regarding associated vaginal discharge, type of discharge, pap smear report, gram stain and culture of vaginal discharge (species other than candida albicans may be responsible) and usg lower abdomen. You may require a long term suppressive therapy.
