Your current test is valid if you do it after 180 days if you want to confirm it by 90 days then go for hiv duo / hiv combo test.

Hello. As per your test results you are negative for HIV. Period. Any combo test with p24 antigen test is valid in early stages of infection. You do not need any further combo test.in 99.97% of cases the antibodies appear by 12th wks if someone is hiv infected for the antibody test to be valid after suspected exposure and the concept of repeat test at 6 months is for those who were simultaneously infected with hcv. So any test test done at 90 days is valid for being negative ,if it was negative. New cdc, atlanta ebm guidelines. The notion of doing final test at 6 mnths after exposure puts unnecessary stress on patint and is not warranted. Jan hit the main msg. Thanks. Please relax.
