I am 8 wks pregnant and I have been taking seizure medicine that is levigress 750 mg bd and cloba 5 mg. Doctor has prescribed me to take 20 my folvite per day. Are these drugs are safe to take in pregnancy?

All antiepileptics can affect the fetus when continued in pregnancy. The risk benefit ratio has to be individualised and discussed with your obstetrician and neurologist. Folvite in doses of 5 mg per day throughout pregnancy is recommended to prevent neurological problems in the baby.
