My daughter is now of 18 days. Her medical cord attachment got removed after 10 days of birth. From last two days, we are noticing some blood coming out. We are applying neosporin powder (gsk) on that. Because of that sometimes she cried a lot. Is everything normal.

If there is no redness/pain on touch of skin around umbilicus, one should not worry about drop or two of blood. It should be fine in couple of days. Redness is the first warning that you should run to your paediatrician.
