Hi, I have a question regarding medications that I should be looking out for chickenpox. Basically, my friend has been detected with a mild level of chickenpox and I fear it might get transmitted to me as well as I had been in contact. What is it that I should be doing to prevent happening it to me? Any preventive vaccination or medications I should go for?

The chickenpox vaccine is a shot that can protect nearly anyone who receives the vaccine from catching chickenpox. It's also called the varicella vaccine, because chickenpox is caused by the varicella-zoster virus. The vaccine is made from a live but weakened, or attenuated, virus I request you to stay away fro him until he is fine and avoid physical contact and request you to take booster vaccination.
