My fasting sugar is between 115 and 130. My hba1c is 6.5/6.7. I am on 500 mg glyciphage metmorhin tablets prior to lunch and dinner. How do I bring down my fbs to less than 110 and hba1c to around 5.8 to 6.0?you can respond to me at email regards sanjay baxi.

Mr Sanjay Baxi, Thanks for the query. At 70 years, your glucose levels and HbA1c% are excellent. There is really no worry at all. Still if you are considering lowering the glucose levels and HbA1c%, then please look at your weight. With 165 cms hight, your ideal weight should be 68.5 kgs, which means there is an excess of almost 16 kgs. Therefore weight reduction itself will bring down glucose and HbA1c%. For that there is a need to reduce food intake and increase the extent of daily exercise for oover 1 hour. Thanks.
