I am 60 years old male having type 2 diabetes for 6 years now. Recent lab reports shows my glucose levels as fasting 128 and pp 117. But hba1c is 8.2 % .i am taking tab. Gluconorm vg2. / zitaplus /novostattg / cap meconerv forte. One tab daily. Am I to continue this prescription or seek second opinion. I seek your advice.

Hello, thanks for the query. Your fasting and pp levels look very good. But hba1c% is definitely high. It should be < 7%. Since glucose levels are very good, there is no need to change the drug treatment. There is no mention of your weight, height, diet pattern and extent of daily exercise, so difficult to comment further. Thanks.
