I had physical relation with a girl who suffered from vitiligo 2 days before. Now her skin is almost ok since she undergone some treatment, after that relation i'm suffering from continuous dysentery, I want to make sure weather that vitiligo is spreadable, i'm scared even of aids symptoms. Please do reply urgently.

Hello and welcome to Lybrate. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. Vitiligo occurs when pigment-producing cells die or stop functioning. Loss of skin colour can affect any part of the body, including the mouth, hair and eyes. It may be more noticeable in people with darker skin. Vitiligo is not contagious. It is a genetic disease, caused by inheritance of multiple causal genes simultaneously, possibly in different combinations in different people, plus exposure to environmental risk factors that remain mostly unknown.
