I have started to take contraceptive pill from sept 2018 and still taking. Ovral g.for how long can I take it. And does it have any side effect on my body? I delivered a baby boy in march 2018. I am allergic to condoms so started pills.

Hello. Combined low dose oral contraceptive pills especially those containing 3 rd / 4 th generations progestins are very safe and has many non contraceptive benefits as well. Potential benefit of these pills are greater when compared to few adverse effects. A woman who does not smoke and is normotensive without significant cardiovascular risk factors can continue these pill easily till beyond 40 years of age.
