Hello, I have swollen right testicles with mild pain. The first time I had this symptom was in 2015. Doctor suggested to take hetrazan 100 for 22 days thrice a day. I felt better after the course. But this pain and swelling keeps coming after every 6 months to 1 year and I have to take hetrazan 100 mg. What is the issue and can it be permanently cured? Is it dangerous?

Hi Ravi, This may be the filarial infection, which is quite common, towards eastern UP and Bihar. Sadly this is a reccurent problem. Try to maintain good hygiene, you may take Hetrazan as soon as you face this problem after showing to your local practitioner. NOTE: DO GET A THOROUGH PHYSICAL EXAMINATION DONE, IN YOUR AGE, TESTICULAR SWELLING CAN BE CANCER.
