Dear Lybrate-User, Please consult a psychiatrist who will assess you clinically and request you to get the investigations done (mri scan) if necessary. She/he will also diagnose you properly. Obsessive symptoms secondary to brain disorders are not diagnosed as ocd. If it is ocd, ssri (e.g: fluoxetine) and cbt with erp will be useful. No need of lorazepam for such a long time. The dose of fluoxetine is not mentioned. Usually it is higher in ocd.

Hello - lorazepam is meant to be used for short term use only. Usually not recommended to continue over 4 weeks. It needs to be gradually tapered down to prevent withdrawal effects - have you been diagnosed with ocd? In that case you will benefit by ssri medication. I see that you are already on fluoxetine which will be helpful. Dose needs to be adjusted according to response. - why was amitriptyline prescribed? Discuss with your doctor to see whether it can be stopped gradually - you will also benefit by psychological therapy like cbt for managing ocd - for your headache, kindly see your family doctor for physical examination. If needed, further investigations can be considered take care.
