Hi I am 34 years old male having kidney transplant in may 2017 from past few months I had developed hbiac as 7.1 mg/dl I am taking glycomet sry 500 mg 1 tablet my weight is 75 kgs and taking immunosuppressant as tacrograph 1.5 mg in morning and 1 mg in evening omnacortil 5? Mg in morning and renodapt 360 mg in morning and evening please advise how to control diabetes. Also I am taking one 5 mg/dl bp medicine although blood pressure is under control as 130/82. Kidney transplant happened after hypertension. Grand mother has diabetes melitus.

Your diabetes may be due to family history and use of steroids which are used to prevent rejection of graft. Better to take medicines for diabetes under supervision of your nephrologist.
