I'm 22 m.so while having sex the condom broke and I went in for a good 1 min. Before I changed the condom. The hiv status is not known of the other person. But she did had multiple partners in past. The private clinic doc said me to go for pep (raltegravir+ ricovir + n cumin cap+ nimbadi vati, started within 72 hours) so im facing 3-4 kg weight loss after using em for 5 days .at day 4th since I had sex I got tested for hiv at a govt hospital which came in negative (i know it can't be conclusive) he asked me to get tested after a month and stop taking pep when I asked about it, I explained him whole scenario. Then I went to another govt hospital at 7th day after having sex to get tested for other hiv where he took a look at my genital and said it's fine. I explained him everything he also told me same to stop pep and get tested after few weeks for hiv and im currently getting tested for other stis. But my main concern is pep should I stop taking it? Or should I keep going. Are there any life threating side effects?
