Your little sister's urine report shows the presence of pus cells which means that she has got a bacterial urinary tract infection. Which is why, she is having fever. You will need to increase her water/liquid intake. Kids don't like having plain water, so, you can give her diluted fruit juices, dal water, kanji, etc. In a urinary tract infection, there is high fever and sometimes it takes 3 to 4 days to resolve, but if proper water/liquid intake is maintained, then the fever subside. For fever any fever medicine recommended by your doctor will do, but for the bacterial urinary tract infection to resolve, she will require a 7 to 8 days course of antibiotics. These antibiotics are specially for treatment of urinary tract infection and are slightly different from the regular antibiotics which are prescribed for any other infection. Also, these antibiotics need to be taken without skipping any dose for at least 7 days for the urinary tract infection to clear out of her system. Please do not worry, she will be fine, keep giving her the prescribed medicine and increase her water intake. If there is no improvement in her fever in the next 4 days, then a second opinion is required.
