I have bad breath because of bad gut bacteria as ruled by my stomach doctor. He wrote b complex and bifilac probiotic. My cbc reports are normal. But the problem is no going.

Dear Lybrateuser, - bad breath could be due to a number of factors like a dental problem or dry mouth, or food intake like more of carbs or fats in diet or eating raw onion, garlic, tomatoes, hormonal or stomach enzyme disbalance, liver problem - along with the medication given by your doctor follow some general measures: - maintain good oral hygiene by brushing twice a day, do glossing once a day, listerine mouth wash gargles once a day, clean back of tongue with a tongue cleaner ,have adequate fluids including water for proper hydration, can chew a sugarless gum to keep oral cavity moist, chew your food well, avoid only carb diet, restrict fat intake - get checked by a dentist to rule out any dental caries or gum infection or gap between teeth where food might get stuck - avoid alcohol or smoke if you have a habit - get investigations especially liver function tests done if still no improvement.
