My 80 years old, Father was diagnosed with 3rd nerve palsy by a neurologist. He is suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure but mostly under control. Initially, a strong headache was reported above the left eye so we went for MRI brain but it was normal. The doctor has prescribed ecosprin av75 (night time) and benfomet forte (day time) one tablet each along with neuro369/efacare three times a day. Earlier both eyes were opening normally but after about 5-6 days headache subsides but the left eye drooped fully. Now my query to you is whether to stick to this treatment or should I opt for other options like acupressure or acupuncture. What are the chances of early recovery? He is very much depressed with the ongoing situation. I consulted another doctor also, he said it will recur of its own in 3-4 months time. He also said if you want early recovery we can try steroids for 20 days. But we discussed in the family and prefer not to use them looking at the side effects and his condition. What remedy you suggest in this particular case. Please clarify. I would be really obliged. Thank you.
