I want to know that is hiv transmitted from blood sugar lancet, I went to a hospital for blood sugar and was talking to a staff member which is known to me. Suddenly a nurse came out with all equipment she pricked my finger from that lancet. So if that lancet was used on hiv patient. Though I am not sure, after my sugar check up, if shook my hand from my friend immediately which has wound on his hand. So can hiv transmit in this way? Can a lancet pricked cause hiv. Or I suffering from anxiety because now days while driving bike I am stopping my bike to check if I hit someone by mistake or not. These strange things are happening to me. I saw hiv everywhere and that driving incident even on empty roads. seriously but can hiv transmit through lancet. What if blood was on lancet or on cotton which se gave me. I am in anxiety.
