According to lmp my wife should be 8.2 weeks pregnant but according to ultrasound she is 5.2 weeks pregnant with no fetal pole but yolk sac echo is well seen and also has subchorionic haemmorage. So doctor advised my wife to do blood test. In blood test it was found that she is having cmv infection with cmv igg reactive 206.96 and cmv igm non reactive 0.33. So I wanted to know few things 1.will this pregnancy be healthy? 2. Will it affect my child in future? 3. Today spotting like blood coming from her vagina. What does this indicates. Kindly advice.

You need not worry about igg cmv. It is good to be positive. However the heart beat has not yet appeared and so either it is a delayed conception or a failing pregnancy. A repeat scan after one week is recommended to confirm the viability of fetus. She should take rest and avoid unwanted travel and heavy household activities. You both should avoid sexual contact.
