Hi lybrate-user, my general advise to all is to stick to one doctor and go back for follow up to that doctor so that he or she has an opportunity to consider alternative treatments if the initial treatment does not work. A two way discussion between patient and psychiatrist is always a key to understanding the problem and finding solutions to the problem. As such here the treatment may be required for anxiety disorder and hyperhidrosis. While nexito is a good choice for anxiety, amitryptiline was prescribed for you specifically for hyperhidrosis. Sometimes medications may worsen sweating. So it is over a period of time that a suitable treatment may be found. Hope this is helpful.
