Hi, I suffer from incomplete bowel movements and discomfort in left abdomen and left chest tightness and shortness of breath and doctor advised me to take colonoscopy and endoscopy test and the result is anal fissure and h pylori positive. Below results are chronic gastritis activity - mild chronic inflammation - mild h.pylori - detected atrophy - absent dysplasia - absent intestinal metaplasia - absent and I have vitamin d and vitamin b12 difference and I also gained 10 kgs over a year doctor gave me amoxicillin 500 mg, levofloxacin 500 mg, nexpro 40 mg for 14 days. Now i'm in 14th day of treatment but I still have all symptoms. Is it possible to completely eradicate h.pylori bacteria? How long does it take to eradicate symptoms? Thanks.

Hi the treatment advised by your doctor is sufficient for h.pylori eradication and to subside your gastritis symptoms. All you have to do is if you are using any pain killers or steroids please inform it to your doctor in your next visit as they can cause chronic gastritis and they need to be stopped. Just leave a positive feedback if helpful.
