Earlier my mom is used to take galvus met 50/500 mg tab twice a day, but this time doctor has suggested her to take galvus met20/500 mg. I asked the reason why he is changing the medicine power but I didn't get any suitable reply and also this medicine is very difficult to get. Can you suggest me the most probable reason for it? please As my mother is 55 years old suffering from diabetes since last 30 years.

If blood sugar is controlled, patient has no significant problem then there is no fun in changing medicine. Discuss with your doctor he must have observed something.

Hello, Thanks for the query. I am not aware of any combination showing Galvusmet with 20/500 strength. Because Vildagliptin dosage is either 50 mg once or twice a day. There is no 20 mg strength at all. So please check which particular drug you are referring to. Thanks.
