I am a 49 year old female. My doctor had prescribed vitamin d capsule (60 k) to be taken once a week for 6 months. I have completed the course now. My vitamin d level was 5 when I tested it before taking the supplements. Should I keep taking supplements or will this be enough?

Take the test again and see if it is in normal levels or not. Then we can suggest what to do next.

You have not mentioned your present level. Anyway, normally the level will be enough and capsule need not be taken but you take care to get sunlight daily at least one hour between 9-1 pm.
