I am a 19 year old female and have been suffering from tuberculosis. I had it from a long but it was diagnosed two months ago .now I have been taking medicines from one month and the condition is better. But I had severe pneumonia because of this which resulted in scuffing in the lungs. I had to go through bronchoscopy twice. Now the doctor says that he'll examine my chest x ray after 20 days and if the condition hasn't improved, I will have to undergo a different bronchoscopy in which they'll inflate the lungs. I don't know exactly what it is for but it is a precautionary measure. I am really anxious about this. Also, my mental health had been deteriorating since few months. I need to know if there is any relation between my lung condition and my mental health because it is affecting me and I can't really talk about it with anyone. Do you think it is somehow affecting my condition and that it will not improve because of this? Please help me.
