Dear doctor now after marriage first time my wife missed her periods before 10 days ago but still the home pregnancy test is negative. Please help us why the result is negative?

Urine pregnancy test should be done 10 days after missing your period. For example if your date was 10th, then do the test on 20th. Before that it can give false negative or false positive test.

Hello. There are many causes of delayed periods apart from pregnancy. You do blood for bhcg to confirm or rule out pregnancy. Other causes of delayed periods are stress, anxiety, thyroid dysfunction, increased prolactin, sudden weight gain and pcos if pregnancy is excluded than do the following tests: usg lower abdomen blood for cbc, sugar, tsh and prolactin.
