I am 22 years old and I have been taken levacetam 500 mg for 7 years and after that levacetam 250 from 3 years. As I used to get fits and now it's reduced I sometimes get only head pain when I'm stressed out. Is it ok to continue with the tablet .will there be any side effects in my future? Will this medication cause some effect when I'm pregnant or giving birth to a kid.

Hi! please continue the medication till the time your neurologist doesn't ask you to stop it. Usually anticonvulsant medications don't have long term effects on fertility. Though they can cause a deficiency of folic acid. So you will have to be on preconception all folic acid and also consult a gynecologist before you plan to conceive. Levacetam is a relatively safer anti convulsant for pregnancy but all your medications and their dosage would be reassessed when you conceive.
