I had lower abdominal pain in the left side. After ultrasound and mri it was seen that there is a lobular and tubular and folded cystic structure in the left adnexa measuring 2.8x 4.2x 4.8 cm. It appears hyperintense on t1w image. heterogeneously hypointense in the t2w image. On post contrast scan, there is smooth peripheral wall enhancement. Mild adjacent free fluid is noted. Dr. is saying that there is infection in fallopian tube. One Dr. is saying that I have to do laparoscopy surgery to remove the damage fallopian tube. Other Dr. has given 7 days antibiotic for fallopian tube then she will give 7 days antibiotic for cyst. Sir/madam what should I do please suggest. I am 30 years old .i have a son of 2.5 years old.

Hello infection in fellopian tube has to be corrected asap as it has chances of spread. With antibiotics for 14 days if it get resolved then alright else operation is the answer. Removal of fellopian tube has to be done to prevent further spread of infection.
