Klebsiella pneumonia usually needs 14 days antibiotics course as per drug susceptibility and may need further course depending on the clinical course. The drug chloramphenicol is associated with adverse drug reactions as like other drugs and soreness and inflammation of mouth maybe it's among listed drug reactions. It's better to review your condition to your treating physician as he will be best to decide further management of your condition.
