Ive been coughing for the last 2wks and I got treated first with azithromycin and it subsided. The same condition relapsed again and went to consult a physician who ordered for cbc test. The lab results were excellent. I was given ampicillin glauvenate and light m. As am writing now, am coughing terribly and my ribs have become painful because of non productive cough. Ive seen traces of blood in my sputum twice. Pliz advise.

Dear Mr. lybrate-user, chest infection is the cause of your cough & bloody sputum. Kindly get a chest x-ray (pa view) and send it with your old CBC report to Lybrate forum and consult a pulmonologist. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
