I had cellulitis in the lower right inguinal region. Post usg scan, the radiologist came to an additional conclusion - "evidence of a defect noted in deep fascia of the anterior abdominal wall in the right inguinal region measuring ~ 11 mm x 10 mm with omental fat as herniating content. S/o right inguinal hernia" Should I be worried? I am a 45-year old male, 70 kg, 165 cm with no past history of serious health issues. My doctor is recommending immediate laparoscopic surgery for mesh hernia repair. But with all due respect to him I feel he is a little rushed. I would rather wait. What should I do doctor?
