My father-in-law is in his mid-80s, has diabetes, parkinson?s and prostrate trouble. He frequently gets up to urinate but cannot go, often for hours at a time. Should we be worried about this?

Your father in law is suffering prostatic enlargement whcih can be benign or even cancerous. He needs to be checked up and treated if needed. He could also be in uncontrolled diabetes which can be easily brought under control.
