I am 4 month pregnant with hba1c 6.7 .doctor prescribed me glyciphage 500 mg twice morning and evening but still my glucose reading at fasting is 114 and after meal is 160. Pls advice.

Hello. Since the onset of diabetes is so early in pregnancy and the blood sugar is not within target level it's will be best to shift to insulin rather than continuing with metformin. The target of treatment should be fasting blood sugar less than 90 and 2 hours post prandial less than 120. With this calorie restriction and light physical restriction is also desirable.
