Just had knee replacement 4 3/4 weeks ago and was doing excellent. No pain hardly at all. Yesterday I was walking down my stairs and at the 3rd to the last step I felt something rip resulting in a torn patella tendon. Why did this happen? please tell me.

It's due to heavy impaction over the tendon due to uneven weight bearing in the joint, try to do quadriceps strengthening exercises, along with it avoid heavy exercises. Go for graduated weight bearing exercises.
