Mr Ravi Mohan, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details given. Your HbA1c% 6.7% shows very good control of blood glucose. Fasting glucose is the reflection of your dinner, which may vary. Ideally it should be < 100 mg or closer to 100 mg. So please give a attention to your dinner. Another and most important point is your excessive weight. With a BMI of 29.41 kgs (normal < 23 kgs/Sq meter) you are closer to being in grade 1 obesity. At your age ideal body weight should be 68 kgs. Hence there is an excess of 22 kgs, which is the main culprit. Weight reduction will probably help in much better glucose control. Hence please give a close look at your diet and daily exercise. Thanks.

Thanks for your Query. It seems from your information that you might be having Hypoglycemia around early morning which is causing the upsurge in fasting blood sugar because of hyperactive liver - This is called Somogyi phenomenon. Your HbA1c is on lower side as per your age. So you need to reduce the dose of medication a little bit. For detailed information and advice you can book an online consultation with me on Lybrate.
