I am 40, and using acitrom regularly because of history of dvt and would like to switch to the new medicine that does not require inr testing. The doctor said pradaxa is a medicine but it is very expensive. However, there are other brands that seem to have very low price - less than 1/3rd of pradaxa's cost. Is it safe to have any brand other than pradaxa (after consulting with the doctor, of course)

Ya its safer than other drugs and costly too but still you need to keep an eye on inr and other parameters so continue with the same treatment.
